Great LCD By w 2018-04-27 06:54:34

The only bad I can say about this thing is the direction of the HDMI and VGA ports. They face up. Why? hooked up to the computer, you end up having to support the cable so that it doesn't put too much stress on the ports over time. It's just a weird setup, and would be better if they faced downward.

Excellent screen. By Seether106 2017-05-12 03:27:57

This is perfect for my needs. As another review stated, I split some power off of the 12 volt jack. Ran it to a Drok Voltage regulator I mounted on the back so I can power the screen and PI from one connection. I would suggest they include something like this in the future. Makes for a very clean setup. They include a little plastic hook to help you remove the micro SD card, but I found it impossible to get it back in while still mounted to the screen. I opted to order a micro SD card extension. It is however easy to mount and unmount the raspberry pi with no tools. I've had no trouble with the display. It's very clear and easy to read. I'm writing the review on it. Also included are the acrylic plates to mount the PI, a nice touch. I cracked the middle plate pealing the protective sticker off, but managed to salvage it. It's very delicate, be carefule. I am very pleased with the product.

Best Pi Display available. By Ginga 2017-05-12 03:27:02

This is HANDS DOWN the best display for the money. Works great for Pi, Firestick or anything with HDMI. The built in speakers were a nice surprise and sound fairly decent for what they are. A lot of the questions are asking about powering everything with one cord, so I figured I would post a picture on how I got everything going with one cord, using a DROK LM2596.

Picture is great, viewing angle is great. Plug it in and it just works. Get one and you will not be disappointed.

Great LCD By Ricky T 2017-05-12 03:25:42

I'm impressed. I haven't pulled the protective cover off the screen yet, but even with it on there, it's crystal clear, and the color is great. I watched a few videos, and played some games on it. I plan to use it in a flight simulator I'm building, as one of the primary flight displays. I like it so much I've already ordered another, and I'll eventually have two more on the way.

A little pricey, considering you can get a 20"+ monitor for $100, but it's an IPS display, so it's a bit better than many cheap standard-sized LCDs out there.

The only bad I can say about this thing is the direction of the HDMI and VGA ports. They face up. Why? hooked up to the computer, you end up having to support the cable so that it doesn't put too much stress on the ports over time. It's just a weird setup, and would be better if they faced downward.

When I opened the package I heard the sound of some objects moving inside which I suspected as screws or nuts. As an electrical engineer I wasn't willing to power this on without removing them as a short circuit could mean the destruction of the circuitry By Methlal M Pallewatta 2016-10-09 09:24:39
