SunFounder Uno R3 Board is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It's intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments. It is an open-source physical computing platform based on a simple I/O board and a development environment that implements the Processing/Wiring language. R3 Board for Arduino can be used to develop stand-alone interactive objects or can be connected to software on your computer (e.g. Flash, Processing, MaxMSP). The open-source IDE can be downloaded for free (currently for Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux). SunFounder R3 Board 100 percent compatible with Arduino.

It use the same ATmega328 as official R3 Board. The ATmega328 on the R3 comes preprogrammed with a bootloader that allows you to upload new code to it without the use of an external hardware programmer.

The ATmega16U2 firmware source code is available in the repository for Arduino.

The R3 Board can be powered via the USB connection and an external power supply.

Clearly printed pin names on the header connector, more precise and much easier to use the wires.
