The Raspberry Pi Night Vision Camera uses the same OV5647 sensor as the standard Raspberry Pi camera, and is, therefore, able to deliver a crystal clear 5MP resolution image or 1080p HD video recording at 30fps! It features two high-intensity Infrared LED spotlights for nighttime recording! The IR LEDs are powered directly from the CSI port and are capable of lighting an area at a distance of 1m to 2m. The camera also features an adjustable 3.6mm focal length lens and a 60-degree viewing angle.
Warning:
The LED's intensity is limited by the Raspberry Pi power supply, please ensure you have an adequate Raspberry Pi power supply installed. LEDs running at full intensity can get hot, please take care during prolonged use.
The IR LEDs can be bolted to the body of the camera using the included bolts. This connects the 3.3V supply to the boards and secures them in place. If you need to adjust the ambient light threshold (to change when the infrared LEDs toggle), there is a tiny adjustable potentiometer on each LED board, you can turn it to change the threshold. Please ensure any fitting or adjusting is completed prior to plugging the device into the Raspberry Pi and switching it on.

Such as the products you buy on our site - can't simply be shipped freely from country to country. When goods are imported into a different country or customs territory, there is a charge called Customs Duty that must apply. This is charged by the local customs authority where the goods are being imported into.
If Customs Duty is payable to your territory, you'll be responsible for paying it to the authorities, so SunFounder isn't involved in this process. Whether Customs Duty is payable, and by how much, depends on a whole lot of different things. For example, many countries have a 'low value threshold' below which they do not charge any Customs Duty.
If you do have to pay Customs Duty though, the amount payable is usually calculated based on the value of the goods and the type of goods being imported.
If, for whatever reason, you refuse the customs fee and the parcel is returned back to us. If you're still unsure on whether you'll be subject to customs fees, we recommend contacting your local customs office for more info before placing your order!
