Arduino Project
Raindrop Detection Sensor Module
Course Introduction
In this lesson, we will learn how to use the Raindrop Detection Sensor Module with Arduino.
Note
If this is your first time working with an Arduino project, we recommend downloading and reviewing the basic materials first.
1.1 Install Arduino IDE(Important)
1.2 Introduction of Arduino IDE
Wiring

Common Connections:
Raindrop Detection Sensor Module
D0: Connect to 7 on the Arduino.
GND: Connect to breadboard’s negative power bus.
VCC: Connect to breadboard’s passive power bus.
Writing the Code
Note
You can copy this code into Arduino IDE.
Don’t forget to select the board(Arduino UNO R4) and the correct port before clicking the Upload button.
/*
This code reads the digital value from a raindrops detection sensor module connected to
pin 7 and prints it to the serial monitor every 50 milliseconds.
When the rainwater on the sensor reaches the threshold,
the DO output is low and the indicator light is on.
Board: Arduino Uno R3 (or R4)
Component: Raindrops Detection Sensor Module
*/
// Digital pin connected to the raindrop sensor
const int sensorPin = 7;
void setup() {
pinMode(sensorPin, INPUT); // Set the sensor pin as input
Serial.begin(9600); // Start serial communication
}
void loop() {
Serial.println(digitalRead(sensorPin)); // Read and print the sensor state
delay(50); // Sampling interval
}
