Arduino Project

Servo Motor

Course Introduction

In this lesson, we will learn how to use the servo motor with Arduino.

Note

If this is your first time working with an Arduino project, we recommend downloading and reviewing the basic materials first.

Writing the Code

Note
You can copy this code into Arduino IDE.
To install the library, use the Arduino Library Manager and search for Servo and install it.
Don’t forget to select the board(Arduino UNO R4 Minima) and the correct port before clicking the Upload button.

#include

const int servoPin = 9; // Define the servo pin
int angle = 0; // Initialize the angle variable to 0 degrees
Servo servo; // Create a servo object

void setup() {
  servo.attach(servoPin);
}

void loop() {
  // scan from 0 to 180 degrees
  for (angle = 0; angle < 180; angle++) {
    servo.write(angle);
    delay(15);
  }
  delay(1000);
  // now scan back from 180 to 0 degrees
  for (angle = 180; angle > 0; angle--) {
    servo.write(angle);
    delay(15);
  }
  delay(1000);
}
